Nick Wilson

Nick is half of the design duo, The Half and Half, located in Columbia, SC.  The Half and Half has completed work for locals The Nickelodeon, USC: Art, Belinda Gergel, City Yoga, Headliners, CMFA and several national and international clients.  The design duo creates beautiful silk screened work that crosses the line between art and mass communication.  Nick is a graduate of USC’s Design program, where he received a BFA in 2006.  you can see more work at www.thehalfandhalf.com

Barbara Howse-Diemer

Barbara is the dance instructor at Eau Claire High School.  She and her husband moved to Columbia from Charlotte, NC in 2001 when Mrs. Howse-Diemer was recruited for the position at Eau Claire High School.  Her craft, “Tie One On” was inspired by her father’s collection of ties which she inherited after he passed away.  Ties are woven into the seats of old ladder back chairs and footstools in a colorful tapestry of memories and textures.

Jenny Mae Hill

Jenny Mae Creations appears in the major motion picture Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium starring Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman, in theaters now!  Jennifer Mae Hill (formerly Jennifer Mae Stephens) lives in Columbia, South Carolina with her husband and their two cats. Jennifer enjoys blurring the line between cute and grotesque as well as exploring the themes of girlhood through her artwork. She also enjoys reading comic books and sleeping late. When she is not creating her art, she works undercover as a waitress.

Shigeharu Kobayashi

Shigeharu Kobayashi is a waiter by profession. Outside of restaurants, he produces new ideas and takes credit for the hard work of others. He sews, photographs, writes, edits, draws, and spraypaints. He maintains the blog http://halfbearhalfbarracuda.blogspot.com

Amanda Weiss

Amanda Weiss is the founder of Three Bad Seeds, a collective family effort creating handcrafted goods based on original designs.  The primary focus of her work is sewing quirky graphic pillows made from reclaimed wool and linen clothing.  While Amanda considers herself an emerging craft artist, she and her imaginative family have found a happy home in the indie craft community.  On any given day you can spot her in her natural habitat:  stalking the next amazing find in Columbia's thrift stores.
